COP 31 is scheduled to take place in Antalya, Türkiye, from 9 to 20 November 2026. In the months ahead, the COP 30 Presidency and the incoming COP 31 Presidency are advancing a process designed to remain open, transparent, and inclusive, sustained by steady dialogue with Parties and observers across the year.
These consultations are expected to convene ministers, Heads of Delegation, negotiators, observers, and a broad circle of stakeholders. Their purpose is to cultivate a common reading of priorities and to prepare the diplomatic ground for meaningful outcomes in Antalya.
To preserve alignment throughout the UNFCCC process, the Presidencies will work in close concert with the Chairs of the subsidiary bodies, ensuring continuity and procedural coherence as discussions progress.
The incoming COP 31 Presidency and Australia will also collaborate in close partnership, consistent with the Türkiye-Australia Partnership Modalities.
Through this collective effort, the Presidencies are urging Parties to act with unity and a shared sense of mission, as they pursue bold, far-reaching results at COP 31 that strengthen both ambition and implementation in the global response to the threat of climate change.
