The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and the Global Resilience Partnership (GRP) are accepting applications for the Climate Resilience Awards for Business 2026, recognizing organizations of any size or sector that have implemented credible, measurable climate resilience projects. Who’s eligible
According to WBCSD’s official announcement, the awards are open to business organizations of all sizes, sectors, and geographic locations. Applicants fall into one of two tracks: Resilience & Adaptation Implementers, meaning organizations improving the resilience of their own operations and assets, or Resilience Solution Providers, meaning organizations offering products, services, technologies, or financing that help clients build climate resilience. Projects must show implementation beyond the concept stage, with evidence behind the claimed outcome.
Submissions land in one of four categories: Building Climate-Proof Infrastructure, Promoting Water Stewardship, Safeguarding Agriculture & Food Systems, or Protecting People First. SMEs and corporates compete separately within each category, so a small business isn’t judged against a multinational. An organization can submit more than one project, but each individual project can only enter one category.
What you get
WBCSD and GRP haven’t disclosed a cash prize for this award. The benefit is recognition: winning and finalist projects are published on the Business Action Bank and The Climate Drive, two platforms WBCSD uses to showcase resilience practice, alongside independent jury credibility, benchmarking against other leading projects, and networking access within the WBCSD and GRP network.
How to apply
Applications are free and submitted entirely online:
- Choose the award category and applicant track (Implementer or Solution Provider) that fits the project.
- Gather 2 to 5 supporting documents, such as reports, monitoring data, certifications, or testimonials, that back up the project’s outcomes.
- Submit through the Climate Resilience Awards submission portal before the deadline.
